Like any major academic institution, the Higher School of Economics offers teaching in both traditional educational programmes and various shorter formats. The Summer University which began two years ago and gives students from other universities the chance to attend additional courses during the summer vacation, falls into the second category. It provides opportunities to study with particular professors and helps students decide how to pursue their academic interests in the future.

HSE Nizhny Novgorod invites prospective foreign students and their friends to come to the campus and to see HSE life from the inside.
Since 2013, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) has cooperated with HSE. This year, a record number of scholarship places will be available for German students to study in HSE short-term programmes through the Go East initiative.
For the past semester, Alis Endres, an undergraduate student in Business and Economics from Germany, has been studying at HSE in the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs. As she completes her semester, Alis talks about what brought her to Russia, her experience in Moscow and her plans for the future.
Since 2016 HSE Psychological Counseling Centre will work at 12 Malaya Pionerskaya Ulitsa, Room 547-551 (metro station ‘Paveletskaya’). Due to the relocation, the Centre will be closed on December 28-31. Consultations will resume on January 11.
The HSE Association of Students and Alumni of the CIS and Baltic Countries is expanding its presence and is currently transforming into the International Student Association. The Association invites all foreign students to join, not only those from CIS countries, but from the non-CIS as well. The Iron Egg awarding ceremony has taken place at Sunlight Studio Hall club in Moscow. The prize is awarded to HSE students for their extracurricular initiatives.
Each year, numerous students from around the world come to study at HSE, both for entire programmes or for shorter periods. Yao Fan, a Chinese student who is based at the University of Sydney, is spending this semester studying philosophy and psychology at HSE before returning to Australia to complete his Honours study and pursue an academic career.
