Applications are underway for the HSE International Olympiad (HSE INTO), which is now available in Russian, English, and French. Winners of this competition can study at HSE University for free. The ICEF Summer Bridge School prepares students from various countries and universities for their master’s studies. It is a short-term summer programme for students of bachelor’s and master’s programmes who are planning to apply to the Master’s in Financial Economics at ICEF and similar master’s programmes at other universities in the coming year. The participants of this year’s School included students from Uzbekistan, Russia, Ghana, Azerbaijan, Italy, Armenia, Nigeria, China, Turkey, and others.

International Students Learn Russian Through Theatre Performance

International students at HSE University acted in and shot a film-play in Russian as part of the ‘Russian through Drama’ course. The students spent a semester preparing the play, immersing themselves in the Russian language and cultural environment. International Summer School 2022: New Knowledge and St Petersburg Vibes
The traditional international Saint Petersburg HSE Summer School will take place from July 18 to August 12, offering courses in Russian language and history, business and management, and data science. The Summer School is a chance for both Russian and international students to gain new knowledge and ECTS credits while immersing themselves in the summer atmosphere of St Petersburg. The classes will be held in English in a hybrid format. In this article, our editorial board has highlighted the main features of this year’s programme.

Let's Learn to Speak Russian
A growing number of HSE University’s international students are actively learning Russian, even if their degree programme is taught entirely in English. To help them build fluency, the HSE University Preparatory Programme launched a Russian Speaking Club for its students in March 2021. Now, all HSE University's students, regardless of the programme they are in, can take part in the meetings.
