On March 14, 2017, at 6:00 pm Moscow time, the HSE Faculty of Social Sciences will hold its first webinar for prospective international Master’s students. During the webinar, academic supervisors and leading lecturers will cover HSE’s English-taught Master’s programmes in political science, sociology and public administration.
A series of lectures in English will be delivered by HSE faculty members at the ‘Socket and Coffee’ co-working space. The project offers its participants an opportunity to learn more about the most recent research findings and practice their English at the same time. The lectures start on February 28, 2017.
On March 11, 2017, HSE will host the ‘Heroes Among Us’ charity festival. The month leading up to it is Good Deed Month, organized by the Open Your Eyes student project. People are encouraged to use this month to do good. Check out the ideas below – having a big positive impact doesn’t always mean putting a lot of effort in.
The registration of student organizations started on February 15, 2017. Registered organizations will receive a ‘guaranteed basic budget’ as well as other forms of support, such as the provision of premises, transport services, and information support. The HSE Banking Institute welcomes international students from around the world who have expressed growing interest in our Financial Analyst Master’s programme, which is conducted entirely in English and is the only such programme in Russia and the CIS to be recognized by the CFA Institute as a Program Partner. A group of 20 undergraduates from the United States visited St. Petersburg, 'the northern Venice', this January, taking part in a programme that blended the history, society and culture of the Russian Empire’s capital. Participants arrived from Mount Holyoke College and Smith College, opting to spend two weeks of their winter holidays here (6 – 22 January) learning about this city. Participants were diverse in their fields of studies, Russian knowledge, and travel experience, some even choosing this trip as their first chance to travel outside the borders of the United States.
After completing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Engineering in his native Delhi, India, Shashank Pant began searching for a Master’s programme that would provide a balance between management and science. HSE’s Governance in STI programme turned out to be what he was looking for as he prepares for an eventual career in innovation at a multinational corporation.
