HSE Extreme Sports Club invites students, lecturers, and graduates of all HSE campuses as well as their families and friends to spend a week in Sochi from 14th to 20th March 2016. Registration is open until February 21st.

Psychological Counseling Centre Moves to a New Location

Since 2016 HSE Psychological Counseling Centre will work at 12 Malaya Pionerskaya Ulitsa, Room 547-551 (metro station ‘Paveletskaya’). Due to the relocation, the Centre will be closed on December 28-31. Consultations will resume on January 11.

International Student Association Expanding its Presence at HSE

The HSE Association of Students and Alumni of the CIS and Baltic Countries is expanding its presence and is currently transforming into the International Student Association. The Association invites all foreign students to join, not only those from CIS countries, but from the non-CIS as well. Chinese Student Makes the Most of His Semester in Moscow

Yao Fan, a Chinese student who is based at the University of Sydney, is spending this semester studying philosophy and psychology at HSE before returning to Australia to complete his Honours study and pursue an academic career.

In early September, the HSE held a series of tours in English prepared by cultural studies students as part of an adaptation programme for international students. The preparation of the tours was led by the Office for Internationalisation. The programme’s main purpose is to get foreign students and staff involved in the social and creative life of the university, and to introduce them to the city’s landmarks.

Cultural Cafe Takes Place at HSE
On 4th December the International Students Office at HSE Moscow held the first Cultural Cafe evening, a project to broaden cultural exchange between HSE students from different countries. A similar initative was launched at HSE Nizhny Novgorod earlier this year. It’s all taking place in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Students from Ghana, Indonesia, China, Nigeria and Uganda made their presentations at the first event and talked about different aspects and traditions of culture in their countries from historical facts to national dishes.

On December 11th the annual student award ceremony Iron Egg, which recognizes the best student projects and achievements in extracurricular areas, will be held at HSE.
