HSE Moscow Welcomes International Students

This year, HSE welcomes more than 200 international students on mobility programmes (academic exchange, Semester in Moscow, DAAD, and others), as well as more than 150 international students who have enrolled in the university’s undergraduate and Master’s programmes. These students represent more than 60 countries from every continent.

Banking Cards for HSE Students

HSE has gradually begun transitioning payment of scholarships to VTB 24 cards. Cards will initially be issued to first-year Bachelor’s, Specialist and Master’s students. Scholarship payments for first-year students will be transferred only to VTB 24 cards.

HSE St Petersburg Fosters an International Education Environment

HSE E-mail for Students

At the end of August, all freshly enrolled HSE students will get HSE e-mail addresses. They will be able to get their addresses at their initial meetings with programme office staff*. We’d like to inform you more about the opportunities that come along with HSE e-mail.

‘I’m Planning to Stay at HSE on an Exchange Programme’

On August 20, the third Summer University at HSE drew to a close. More than 100 foreign participants spent several weeks in Moscow, as well as one week each on the St. Petersburg and Nizhny Novgorod campuses. Some of them have decided to extend their stay at HSE for a while longer.

'Math in Moscow Programme Was Absolutely Incredible'

Jonathan Gerhard from James Madison University spent one semester studying in Math in Moscow programme run jointly by HSE, Moscow Center for Continuous Mathematical Education, and Independent University of Moscow. During his time in Russia Jonathan took intensive maths courses, studied the Russian language and traveled to several Russian cities.

This summer, over 100 international students attended the Summer University at HSE. Of all the courses offered by the programme, Russian as a foreign language is especially popular, with more than 50 students enrolling. Maria Shilankova, RFL teacher, and Oksana Chernenko, Director of the Summer University, spoke with HSE News Service about the educational process and the students’ achievements.
