Masoud Ebadi from Tehran, Iran is currently pursuing a Master’s in Strategic Corporate Finance (SCF) at HSE University Moscow (Faculty of Economic Sciences). In this interview, he talks about his experience of the admissions process, the advantages of master’s studies at HSE, and what he loves about Moscow—including food recommendations for new arrivals.
In 2022/23, HSE University will be offering 45 English-taught master’s programmes in a variety of fields ranging from maths and economics to social sciences and humanities. International admissions are open until August 15, 2022 but early-bird applications will be eligible for full-tuition scholarships. Several first-year master’s students have shared their experiences of getting into the university and starting their studies.
Applications are still open for the Study Tour Experience, an international programme for international students who are considering applying for HSE master’s programmes this year. Participants (who will be selected as part of a competition) will be able to attend lectures and seminars at HSE University from February 21 to March 5. Participation is free of charge.
In December 2021, the HSE ISSEK English-language Master’s programme in Governance of Science, Technology and Innovation became one of three HSE University management programmes to receive European accreditation by the European Foundation for Management Development. International students are welcome to submit their applications to HSE University via the convenient online application platform. Personal consultations with the Admissions Office are available to help applicants make the right choice and prepare all the necessary documents. There is a wide range of degree programmes to choose from, including English and Russian-taught programmes as well as online and in-person degree options offered by all four HSE University campuses.
Fernanda Florido-Calvo came to HSE University in Nizhny Novgorod from Chile to study mathematics. While on her two-year Master of Science in Mathematics programme, she wrote her master’s thesis and presented it at the All-Russia Contest of Diploma Thesis of Russian Mathematicians 2021, where she won two awards with full marks. Fernanda spoke to the HSE News Service about her passion for mathematics and the paths that lead to HSE University.
The results of the 2021/22 international admissions campaign were presented at the recent meeting of the HSE University Academic Council. Despite the COVID-19 restrictions, 2,055 students from 156 countries enrolled this year at HSE University.
