On December 21^st  Master's programme in Applied Social Psychology organized the 4^th annual All Cultures Day at the School of Psychology. International students from many faculties and schools, including Preparatory year students, gathered to celebrate HSE’s multicultural environment and the Russian New Year.

Today it is not enough for us just to ski or to hang out, we are always looking for new impressions and knowledge. This festival will combine all that we have ever wished for: skiing, entertainment, and popular science events. Everyone is welcome to join us at Gorki Gorod in Krasnaya Polyana for the first smart ski festival ID FEST from January 28 to  February 4.

What do we know about Germany ? How do you understand whether you “are” German or not? How can you differentiate German cities and how to survive there?

On December 9-10, the HSE Centre for Psychological Counselling is joining with the HSE Centre of Leadership and Volunteering to organize a psychology weekend where experienced psychologists will speak about how to talk to employers, effective communication, and time management. On the first day of the weekend, a workshop on studying and working in a multicultural environment will be held in English, which will give international students the ability to participate as well.

Still feel that you took part in a real carnival? Or from now on you smile everywhere to everyone and never feel stressed? Is it magic? Actually, it is our second Culture Café which was about sunny and hot BRAZIL.

We’ve been extremely busy celebrating our anti-versary: we’ve published books, been for a run in the park, masterminded special projects and organized conferences. But that was only the lead-up to the main event: the Great Festivities week - the culmination of all our celebratory efforts.

Effective from the afternoon of November 27, all the way through the morning of November 28, HSE will be celebrating its Anniversary Night. To allow students and staff to prepare for the event properly and not look like zombies at following day’s lectures, these dates will be partially considered days-off.

Through November 18, HSE students and staff can bring all sorts of electronic waste, from headphones to mixers and irons, to be recycled. The event is traditionally organized by Green HSE, a student organization.

This October World Festival of Youth and Students took place in Sochi bringing together over 20 000 young people from 150 countries. Several HSE international students participated in the event. They have shared their impressions with HSE News Service.

The last Culture Café of the first module was held on October 18, and was dedicated to Finland. It was the very first time ESN HSE Moscow and the International HSE Office hosted the Nordic country! We would like to thank the real Finnish guys, Mira, Minna, Ida, Ville and Eero, who made such a great Culture Café possible.
