Our Culture Café: Italy held on the 21st of February was attended by many international students who created an amazing atmosphere, so we dived into Italian culture more than we could even imagine. The presentation was prepared by HSE Exchange Students: Nicola Calvano, Nicola Simone, Michela Montagna, Martina Zama, Sofia Bineri, Gianmarco Donolato, Fabiola Furnari, Luca Bazzoni, Francesca Miuli, Federica Toninello, Serena Barone, and Olivia Genovesi. We are so thankful to you!

Why did we gather so many students after exhaustive, sometimes boring classes in one place? Culture Café: Georgia, held on the 7^th of February, without a doubt was the most attended CC (ESN HSE Moscow hopes that this fact will inspire other students to present their countries as well). It was prepared by HSE exchange student Beso Shengelia and his Georgian friends. They did everything possible to show the beauty of this fantastic ancient country, Georgia! What is more, we are grateful to HSE students especially from the Chamber of Nationalities, specifically Maggie Sulkhanishvili, for taking part in our event.

On 7 February 2018, three Vietnamese students from HSE’s Faculty of World Economy & International Affairs and the Faculty of Law took a trip to the Moscow Duma as a part of the joint programme run by the Moscow Administration and the Vietnamese Embassy.

New semester, new life, and new season of our popular Culture Cafés have come! The first ‘brand new’ Culture Café was held on the 24 th of January and was prepared by ESN HSE Moscow students with a great love. As you may have conjectured already, it was devoted to charming and mysterious RUSSIA!

What do we know about Germany ? How do you understand whether you “are” German or not? How can you differentiate German cities and how to survive there?

Still feel that you took part in a real carnival? Or from now on you smile everywhere to everyone and never feel stressed? Is it magic? Actually, it is our second Culture Café which was about sunny and hot BRAZIL.

The VII International Russian-Chinese Summer School on International Relations ‘Economic Instruments of Foreign Policy in the Modern World’ was held on July 6-13 at the HSE Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs (Moscow) in full cooperation with the East China Normal University (Shanghai) and with the support of the Gorchakov Fund.

On June 28, 2017, the second graduation ceremony for the double-degree Master’s programme in Big Data Systems (HSE, Russia) and Information Systems Management (UAS Technikum Wien, Austria) was held at the Austrian Residence. Dr. Emil Brix, Ambassador of Austria in Moscow, gave the opening speech. During the reception, he congratulated graduates on successfully completing the programme and stressed the importance of cooperation between the universities for multicultural and professional communication.

International Student Support and ESN HSE Moscow are ready to tell you about our fourth journey that we had on March, 28th! This time we booked tickets for a faraway destination - the United States! The crew representatives Max Kushnir and Croix Hebert turned out to be truly gifted public speakers, and on behalf of all the passengers, we want to thank them for making such a lively and informative presentation!

We are happy to tell you about our Culture Café that took place on April, 6th! Thank you to all Russian and foreign students who contributed to it. That evening we learnt a lot about ecological issues in India, Finland, Italy, US, Russia, Belgium and Ghana.
