Faiz Arsyad from Indonesia is a first-year master’s student of Agrarian Economics at the HSE Faculty of Economic Sciences. In his interview, he talks about his first months of studies at the university, which include meeting top governmental officials, attending agricultural conventions, and participating in the HSE Career Marathon.

Some international students shared their study experiences, and the faculty administration provided information on admissions, student benefits and scholarships. The number of HSE students from Africa has exceeded 200 this year. Today, 235 students from 31 African countries study at the university. Last year, 175 students from 29 countries studied at HSE University.

On November 25th, the HSE Pokrovka building hosted the ‘The Whole World in HSE’ festival, which brought together HSE students from Indonesia, Korea, China and Armenia, as well as Europe, Latin America, and various Russian regions, to celebrate the university’s 30th anniversary.

The Bachelor’s in Foreign Languages and Intercultural Communication combines traditional approaches to foreign language teaching with innovative educational practices. The programme has attracted a lot of international students thanks to the opportunity to enrol in the English track and study all its courses in English.
