Neeraj Mazumder, a native of India, is a first-year student in the Master’s programme Prototyping Future Cities offered by HSE’s Vysokovsky Graduate School of Urbanism. He received his Bachelor’s in Architecture from Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University in Hyderabad and came to Moscow to study how cities can be analyzed and smart cities designed.

Zhang Caiyu is a Master’s student at HSE – St. Petersburg. Originally from China, Zhang Caiyu moved to Kiev, Ukraine as a Bachelor’s student, where she majored in the Russian language. Of course, it then made total sense to continue her education here in Russia. She is now a student in HSE’s 'Experience Economy: Hospitality and Tourism Management' programme. Here are her impressions of the university, the people, and the beautiful city of St. Petersburg.

Ashish Kumar Singh hails from a place called Raebareli, a city of about 3,000,000 people located in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Sara Olmi came to the Nizhny Novgorod campus of Higher School of Economics through a student exchange programme with The University of Bergamo. On 7 February 2018, three Vietnamese students from HSE’s Faculty of World Economy & International Affairs and the Faculty of Law took a trip to the Moscow Duma as a part of the joint programme run by the Moscow Administration and the Vietnamese Embassy.
Last semester, journalism students and international exchange students were able to select two subjects taught in English: American Political Rhetoric and Journalism and International Environment. We decided to learn more about these courses from students and teachers.
A group of 37 students from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology visited HSE’s Faculty of Economic Sciences in January 2018. The visit was part of a study trip to Russia organized by HKUST Global Business Program. The students visited Dobrolyubov Public Library, New Economic School, SKOLKOVO School of Management, as well as offices of Novartis Pharma, Yandex, and Moscow Stock Exchange. At HSE they met with Russian and international students who told them about the university and introduced them to Russian culture and traditions, dispelling some of the most popular myths about Russia.
From January 5 to 20 2018, HSE St. Petersburg for the second time hosted a special J-Term programme for American students from Smith and Amherst Colleges, as well as the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
