The Higher School of Economics (HSE) and King’s College London, United Kingdom, are pleased to announce a new Erasmus+ academic exchange and mobility programme for students, researchers and staff for the 2016/17 academic year.

Language Tandem, a new project at HSE in Nizhny Novgorod, has been launched. The project involves 15 international exchange students, who came to Nizhny Novgorod from France and Italy, master’s students of Global Business from Austria and Italy, who have just started learning Russian, and 15 Russian students from various faculties who are studying foreign languages. The participants shared their impressions of the first meetings.
A grand opening for the third enrolment of master’s students in Global Business took place at the HSE campus in Nizhny Novgorod. The master’s programme is aimed at training managers with professional, social, and personal competencies needed for working in the global economy.
On August 15, the second HSE Summer University drew to a close. The number of participants in this year's programmer nearly tripled with 103 students coming from 15 countries. This included both independent students as well at five organized groups from Seoul National University, Seoul National University of Science and Technology, Miami University, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), and Guangdong University of Foreign Studies.
From July 4 to 25, the HSE Summer University welcomed thirty Korean students from the Seoul National University who had come to study Russian and learn more about modern life in Russia as part of SNU’s programme in Moscow.
From 30th March to 3rd April, 50 German students attended a session of the Business in Russia programme, run jointly by HSE and DAAD and the German Chamber of Foreign Trade since 2012. Students on the programme do six-month internships in German company offices in Russia and prepare group projects on various themes, under the guidance of HSE professor Natalya Guseva.
On March 20, the ceremony for the Andrew Heiskell Award for innovations in internationalization took place in New York. The Higher School of Economics became the first Russian university to receive honourable mention in Internationalizing the Campus category.
On the 17th March 2015, 10 students from the University of Iowa, School of Law arrived in Moscow to take part in a research project with 2nd and 3rd year undergraduates at the HSE Faculty of Law. The aim of this international project is tocompare legal interpretation of the same problems in Russia and the USA. In April, Russian students will go to America to finalize and present their joint projects.
