Do you know any exotic Asian countries? Their particular features and traditions? After attending our Culture Café you can name at least one like this - it’s outstanding and lively Bangladesh. What do we know about Armenia? Are we familiar with its history and traditions? Are we aware of how big is Armenian diaspora and how many famous people are Armenian? Now we can answer to all these questions after attending our Culture Café dedicated to the country with one of the longest history and unbelievably breathtaking landscapes - Armenia.We’re truly thankful to ESN students, who made our acquaintance with this wonderful country interesting and enjoyable: Silva and Vardi.
We are sure that everybody heard about contemporary Korean culture at least once. It is becoming more and more popular each day. A lot of young boys and girls (especially girls) cannot wait to listen to a new song from their favorite K-pop bands or watch the newest K-drama series. But not everyone is familiar with the life of locals in the Land of morning calm. So, on the first Culture Café of the spring we gathered to learn about just that.
On February 20th , we gathered again for yet another Culture Café, this time dedicated to sunny Columbia. The sounds of energetic Latin music filled the halls of our university on this typical grey winter day in Moscow while the Columbian students presented their history and culture to the audience.
On February 6th, at the beginning of the new semester, we have resumed our regular Culture Cafes events. Traditionally, members of the ESN HSE Moscow told foreign students about their home country — Russia.

The 10th International Symposium of Overseas Indonesian Students Association Alliance (OISAA) will take place from July 23–26 at HSE’s Moscow campus. The event has brought together opinion leaders, experts and students from Russia and Southeast Asia to discuss the role of young Indonesians in the development of Indonesia in the fields of education, culture, tourism and healthcare.
In its fifth year already, the HSE Summer University was officially opened on June 20th by Vice Rector, Ivan Prostakov. Over the next 8 weeks, HSE will provide almost 200 students, PhD candidates, postdocs and professionals from all around the world with the opportunity to enhance their knowledge in a wide range of fields. Many of the courses, all of which are taught in English, focus on areas such as politics, history, economics, and Russian and Eurasian cultures.
For Yiğit Tahmisoğlu, Süleyman Saltoğlu and Ekimhan Can – students from Istanbul Bilgi University – the opportunity to study in the HSE and University of London Double Degree Bachelor’s Programme in Economics has meant facing a number of challenges while simultaneously benefiting greatly from what the programme has to offer.
