Medical Examination for the 1st Year Students in 2026

Moscow Polyclinic No. 5 is located at 3 Bolshaya Bronnaya, in Moscow.

Working hours of Moscow Polyclinic No. 5:

Monday–Friday, 8 am – 3 pm.

Moscow Polyclinic No. 5 is not open on weekends and holidays.

No appointment is necessary; medical examination procedures are performed on a first come, first served basis.

Undergoing mandatory medical examination procedures typically takes 30 minutes, but if the polyclinic is experiencing high patient volumes, it may take up to 2 hours.

You must make sure to fast before your examination and arrive at the polyclinic on an empty stomach as you will be required to give blood samples for analysis.

Before your visit to the polyclinic, it is recommended that you do not use any drugs or other products containing psychotropic, narcotic, soporific (sleeping aids), analgesic, or broncholytic substances, as well as tranquillizers or antitussives (cough suppressants). If you have a medical condition that requires taking a specific medication, you must have your prescription or medical note with you (if your prescription or medical note is in a foreign language, you will need to provide a Russian translation of it).

1. When you arrive at the polyclinic, go to Room 114 and tell the staff that you are a first-year student at HSE University and are entitled to undergo the mandatory medical examination free of charge.
2. In Room 114 present your set of required documents (see relevant section in Step 1) and fill in the following documents:

• consent form affirming your informed voluntary consent to the types of medical interventions included in the List of Specific Types of Medical Interventions to which citizens must give their informed voluntary consent when selecting a doctor and medical institution to receive primary healthcare services;

• consent form affirming your consent to the processing of your personal data and the transfer of confidential medical information;

• consent form affirming the informed voluntary consent of the given foreign citizen or stateless person (or their legal representatives) to the performance of the medical examination.

3. In Room 114, you will personally receive medical referral form, your medical history, as well as information on the date and time of your repeat visit to the polyclinic.

Please follow Step 3 after you have visited all the doctors.

At the designated date and time (usually the fifth business day after your initial visit), make a repeat visit to Moscow Polyclinic No. 5, where you should visit Room 114 between 10 am and 12 noon to receive the results of your medical examination.

Based on the results of your medical examination, you will be given the following forms:

• medical report on the presence (absence) of infectious diseases that pose a public health risk;

• medical report on the absence of evidence of the use by the given foreign citizen or stateless person of narcotics or psychotropic substances without a doctor's prescription or any new, potentially dangerous psychoactive or hallucinogenic substances, or recreational drugs, and their metabolites;

• certificate of the absence of the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV/AIDS).

IMPORTANT: You must verify that your personal data as shown in the documents (medical reports and HIV/AIDS certificate) match your personal data as shown in your migration card, while students from countries whose citizens are required to have a visa to enter Russia must verify that their personal data as shown in their medical reports and HIV/AIDS certificate match their personal data as shown in both their student visa and migration card. If you discover an error in your personal data, you should inform the polyclinic staff member responsible for issuing documents so that the erroneous data can be corrected.

The results of your mandatory medical examination will be sent by Moscow Polyclinic No. 5 to the HSE University. So, you do not need to additionally send scanned copies (photos) of the documents confirming that you have undergone your medical examination to the HSE University.

Once you have received the medical examination certificates, they must be entered into the Ministry of Internal Affairs database.

If fingerprinting has not yet been done, the medical information will be entered by the inspector during that procedure (please bring your certificates with you).

If fingerprinting has already been completed previously, the certificate data must be entered into the Ministry of Internal Affairs database by attending the migration centre in person at the following address: 1st Krasnogvardeysky Proyezd, 21, Building 1 (OKO Tower).

After the fingerprinting procedure or your visit to the migration centre (OKO Tower), please request from the inspector a certificate confirming that the medical examination certificates have been entered into the Ministry of Internal Affairs database.

The documents on the results of your mandatory medical examination (medical reports and HIV/AIDS certificate) are valid for one year from their date of issue. Verify the expiration date of your documents and 30 days before the expiration date, repeat the process of undergoing the mandatory medical examination procedures.

You will have to pay a fee to undergo your repeat mandatory medical examination.

Within one day after receiving the results of your mandatory medical examination, you must upload scanned copies (photos) of the documents confirming that you have undergone your medical examination to the HSE App X - "Migration Centre" mobile app.
